Shree Mata Engineers

Our place is out in the GIDC Estate at Por-ramangamdi. It’s unit 315. If you know Vadodara, you know the Por area is mostly industrial. It’s a bit of a drive out here, but it works for what we do at Shree Mata Engineers. We’ve got the workshop setup and an office space where we handle the paperwork. It’s dusty sometimes because of all the trucks moving around the estate, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We spend a lot of time on the floor making sure everything is running right. It’s not a quiet job. There’s always some noise from the machines or people talking over the fans. We don't have any big corporate slogans or anything. We just come in, do the engineering work, and go home. The guys have been with us for a while, so we all know how things work. Sometimes the power goes out, which is frustrating, but we just wait it out or find something else to clean up. We keep a lot of spare parts around, so the place looks a bit crowded. It’s a practical setup. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a lobby. We just want to make sure the jobs get finished. It’s honest work and we’ve been at it for years now in this same spot. Most days we just have lunch together and then get back to the machines until it's time to lock up.
