Pooja Engineering Co

Pooja Engineering Co is tucked away on Sanjeevappa Lane in the Vadsar area. If you come by, you’ll probably hear the sound of metal being cut or the hum of the lathe machines before you even see us. We are a small engineering workshop, and we’ve been in this same spot for quite a while now. The floors are usually covered in metal shavings and there is oil on almost every surface. That is just the nature of what we do. We take on various mechanical jobs and parts manufacturing for local businesses. It’s mostly just us working with our hands and the machines we’ve had for years. We don't have a receptionist or a glossy brochure. If someone needs something made or fixed, they just walk into the shop and talk to us directly. Often we are wearing greasy overalls and have to wipe our hands before we can even shake anyone’s hand. We work on a lot of different projects, and no two days are exactly the same. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the whole day fixing it instead of doing our actual work. It’s a simple operation, and we just focus on getting the measurements right and finishing the tasks we have on our list for the day. The street can be narrow, so parking is sometimes a struggle for the trucks that come to drop off the raw metal rods.
