Parishram Engineers

Parishram means hard work, and that’s pretty much what we do here at Plot 858 in Makarpura GIDC. This industrial estate is huge, and we’ve been a small part of it for a long time. Our shop is usually hot because of the machinery running, but that’s the way it is in an engineering unit. We make parts and fix things for the bigger factories around us. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s oil on the floor and the smell of cut metal in the air. We don't have a marketing department or a sales team. We just have our machines and our hands. Most of the guys working here have been with me for years. We eat lunch together and complain about the power cuts when they happen. It’s a local business through and through. We don't try to be something we're not. If a job comes in, we look at it, give a price, and get to work. Sometimes we stay late to finish a batch of components if a client is in a hurry. The roads in GIDC can be rough, especially in the monsoon, but we never miss a day. It’s just about showing up and doing the work as best as we can. That’s why we picked the name. It suits us. We have a small corner for the books.
