Neelam Traders

You can find Neelam Traders over in Hathi Khana, which is part of the Fatehpura area. We are tucked into Tulsiwadi Society, which is quite close to the Main Market. Being near the market means we get a lot of foot traffic, but our specific street is a little bit quieter than the main road. The building we are in has been around for a long time, so it has that old feel to it. Inside, we have rows of shelves that are mostly filled with whatever we are trading that month. We spend a lot of our morning just sorting through items and making sure nothing is broken or missing from the latest delivery. It isn't a high-tech operation; we mostly use a calculator and a blue pen. The lighting inside isn't the best, so we usually keep the front door wide open to let in the natural light. Sometimes birds fly in and we have to gently shoo them out before they cause a mess. We have a small bench outside where we sit when the business is slow or when we are waiting for a truck to pull up. Dealing with the neighbors and other shopkeepers is just part of the daily life here. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything, we just stay open and wait for people to come by. It is a bit of a cramped space with all the ledgers piled up, but we know where everything is.
