M.K.Traders

M.K.Traders is situated right near the Chokhandi Four Ways on the Main Road. It’s a hectic intersection, and our shop is right in the thick of it. We do a bit of everything here, mostly trading in larger quantities of grains and pulses. You’ll see bags of rice and flour stacked up near the entrance because we don't have a lot of backroom space. It’s more of a warehouse feel than a fancy store. I’ve worked here since I was a young man, and the Four Ways has only gotten busier over time. The noise of the traffic is constant, especially during the rush hours when the signals change. We have a lot of regular customers who come from the surrounding neighborhoods to stock up their kitchens for the month. I don't use a computer for my bills; I still like using my pen and a paper pad. The walls are a bit stained from the years of damp and dust, but the shop is sturdy and does the job. We have a small overhead fan that barely moves the air, but it’s better than nothing in the Vadodara heat. My nephews help me with the heavy lifting when the new stock arrives on the tempos. We don’t spend money on advertising or anything like that. People know M.K.Traders because we’ve been on this corner for as long as most can remember. It’s just honest work and long days for us.
