We are situated at Plot No. 730 in the GIDC Estate. It’s a large industrial area, and our plot is just one of many, but we’ve been here long enough that most of the neighbors know us. We deal with precision tools, which means a lot of the work involves very small details and making sure things are exactly the right size. The building itself is pretty basic. It’s a functional space designed for work, not for showing off. There’s a lot of metal around and the sound of grinding is pretty constant during the day. We have a small crew and everyone knows what they’re supposed to do. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in suits. We’re usually in work clothes and probably have a bit of dirt on our hands. The GIDC estate can be a bit confusing to navigate if you aren’t used to the plot numbers, but we’re easy enough to find once you get into the right section. There’s no big mission statement on the wall or anything. We just take the orders as they come and try to finish them on time. Some days are busier than others, especially when a big shipment of steel arrives. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tools. It’s a simple life, really. We’ve got a small area for lunch where we sit and talk about the news or whatever else is going on.
