Our shop, United Engineering Corporation, is located at 188, G.I.D.C., in the Makarpura Industrial Estate. It’s a well-known area for anyone in this line of work. We’ve been at this address for a long time. The building has seen a lot of projects come and go. It’s a bit worn in some places, but that just shows we’ve been busy. We don’t really go in for those polished marketing brochures. We think the work speaks for itself. When you walk in, you’ll smell the metal and oil. That’s just the way it is here. We’re a small team mostly. We know each other well and we know how to get things done without a lot of fuss. We don’t have a big HR department or a fancy cafeteria. We usually just eat at our desks or head out to the local stalls. It’s a practical way to live. We’ve had some good years and some tough ones, but we’re still standing at 188. People around here know us as the ones who just get on with it. We don't make big promises we can't keep. We just take it one job at a time.
