Star Engineering Company

Star Engineering Company has been based at Plot No. 495-2 in the GIDC Industrial Estate for quite some time. We’re a small engineering firm, and the place is basically a large workshop filled with lathes, drills, and benches. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we like the noise of things being made. We handle a lot of custom repairs and small-scale fabrication for the other units nearby. If a machine part breaks down in another factory, they often bring it to us to see if we can fix it or make a new one. It’s hands-on work. Most of us have calloused hands and grease under our fingernails by the end of the shift. We don't have a sales team. Usually, the owner of a nearby shop just walks in and asks for a quote. We write things down in a ledger and get to work. The building itself is older, but it serves its purpose. We spend a lot of time checking the calibration on the machines because even a small error can ruin a piece of metal. Lunch breaks are usually taken together on the benches outside when the weather is nice. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide reliable engineering work for the people who need it. It’s a steady life and we’ve grown used to the rhythm of the estate.
