Our workshop is at Plot No. 966/2 in the G.I.D.C. Estate in Makarpura. It is right near the Hanuman Temple, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us. The estate is always loud with the sound of metal being cut and machines running. We have our own share of that noise here. It is a place with grease on the floors and the smell of oil in the air. We do engineering work, mostly making parts and fixing things that break down in other factories. My clothes usually have a few holes in them from sparks. We are not a big fancy corporation. We are just a bunch of guys who know how to use a lathe and a welding machine. The heat gets pretty bad in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going. It is honest work. Sometimes a job comes in that is a real puzzle, and we spend all day scratching our heads over it. We just take it one piece at a time. The Makarpura area is full of shops like ours, so we just focus on what is on our own workbench. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If you walk in, you'll probably find us mid-job with a wrench in hand. We just keep the machines running and get the orders out the door when they are done.
