If you find yourself wandering through the Gidc Ind. Estate, you’ll eventually hit Plot No. 898-3-a. That’s where Shivam Engineering is located. It’s a standard industrial unit, nothing too flashy on the outside. We’ve got our machinery set up in a way that makes sense for the flow of work, even if it looks a bit crowded to an outsider. The air usually smells like cutting oil and cold steel. We don’t spend much time sitting in the front office; we’re usually out on the floor where the real action happens. It gets loud once the cutters start going, so we’ve all learned to talk over the noise. There are a few of us who have been here since the beginning, and we’ve seen the estate change quite a bit over the years. We handle all sorts of engineering tasks, mostly small parts and repairs that keep other businesses moving. Sometimes the power flickers when the weather gets bad, but we just wait it out and get back to it. We don't have a glossy brochure or a big sign with lights. Usually, people find us because someone told them we’re the ones at 898-3-a who can get the metalwork done. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We value the fact that we can fix things and make parts that actually fit. It's not about being the biggest, just about being here every day.
