Shah Engineers

You can find us at Shed No. 484-b-6 7 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. It’s a big area, so you have to look for our shed number carefully. We’ve been operating out of this space for quite a while now. Shah Engineers is basically just a place where we work on industrial parts and machinery. The floor is concrete and usually has some scraps of metal lying around. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear nice shoes. We have a couple of machines that run most of the day, so it gets pretty loud. We do mostly mechanical stuff and fabrication. It’s hard work, and the heat inside the shed can be a lot during the summer months. We don't have a fancy office or a lobby. There's just a small desk near the entrance where we keep the ledger and the phone. Most of our days are spent working with our hands. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the estate; we just want to get the orders done right and on time. Sometimes a delivery truck gets lost finding the shed, so we have to go out to the main road to wave them in. It's a simple, honest way to make a living. We know the other guys in the neighboring sheds, and we help each other out with tools sometimes. That's just how things go here at the estate.
