Roshan Engineering Works

Our workshop is at Plot No. 340-b2 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. If you’re driving through, you’ll probably see the stack of metal parts sitting near the entrance waiting to be moved. Engineering work isn’t exactly a clean job, so there’s usually some grease on our hands and the floor. We’ve got the old lathes and a few newer machines that we use every single day. It’s noisy, especially when everyone is working at once, but you get used to it after a week or two on the job. The heat under the tin roof can be a lot in the summer months, so we keep the big fans running and drink plenty of water. Roshan Engineering Works isn't a massive place, but we have enough room to get the jobs done without stepping on each other. Usually, you’ll find one or two of us leaning over a drawing or measuring something twice to make sure it’s right. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Most people find us because they know we’re here in the estate and they’ve seen what we can do. The gate stays open from eight in the morning until late evening most days. It’s just us doing the daily grind, fixing what breaks and making new parts when they’re needed. Sometimes the power goes out, and everything goes quiet for a bit, which is a nice break actually. Then the lights come back on and we get right back to the noise and the metal shavings.
