Ronak Engineering Works

If you’re walking around GIDC Makarpura in Vadodara, you might stumble upon us at Plot No 624-264-9. Ronak Engineering Works is basically just a big shed where we do a lot of metal cutting and welding. It’s pretty noisy, and the smell of burnt oil is something you just get used to after the first week. We don’t have any big offices or air-conditioned meeting rooms. Most of our discussions happen right there on the shop floor over the sound of the lathes. We handle all sorts of engineering jobs for other local businesses. Some days it’s just simple repairs, and other days we’re trying to figure out a complicated piece of machinery. The floor is always a bit messy with metal scraps, no matter how much we sweep it. We don’t really do any advertising or promotional stuff because word of mouth in this industrial area is usually enough. It gets incredibly hot in Gujarat during the summer, and we all end up drinking a lot of tea from the stall around the corner just to keep going. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to do decent work and get paid on time. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment. Most of the guys here have been working with tools since they were teenagers. We just show up, do the job, and head home.
