Refcon Industries

We’ve got our setup at Plot No. 992-4-3. This part of the GIDC Ind. Estate is mostly small to medium units. Refcon Industries is what’s on the sign, but we are just a small group of people working here. It’s an industrial area, so there’s a lot of noise from the neighboring plots. We handle various industrial tasks, and the workshop is usually full of tools and bits of metal. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear nice clothes. We all wear stuff that we don't mind getting dirty. There’s a small desk in the front where we handle the mail and the bills, but most of the time is spent out on the floor. The roof is made of corrugated sheets, so it gets quite loud when it rains. We don't have a big break room, so we usually just grab a tea from the stall down the road and sit outside for a few minutes. It’s a plain, honest kind of life. We don't put on any airs about what we do. We just fix things and make things as they’re ordered. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, so we stay late. Other days are slower. We’ve been at this plot for a while and we know most of the guys in the units around us. It’s a community of sorts, even if we’re all just doing our own thing.
