Power Mech Engineers

Power Mech Engineers is based out of 989/7 in the GIDC area of Makarpura. It's a standard industrial shed like many others around here. We spend most of our time dealing with mechanical bits and pieces. The floor is concrete and has plenty of scratches from moving heavy equipment around over the years. We don't have a receptionist or a big sign. Usually, you’ll just find one of us near the back working on a lathe or checking a part. Being in Makarpura GIDC means we are surrounded by other workshops, so there is always a lot of noise and the smell of cut metal in the air. We keep a small kettle in the corner for making coffee because the days can get pretty long. The lighting isn't the best in the back corners, but we have some portable lamps when we need to see something close up. We’ve had the same few guys working here for a while now. We know where every tool is kept, even if the place looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. It’s a straightforward operation. We get the specs, we do the work, and we move on to the next task. Nothing is automated or fancy; it’s all manual effort and paying attention to what the machines are doing. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door during the monsoon, so we have to watch out for that.
