Mak Industries

We share Plot No. 171 at the Gidc Ind. Estate with a few others. Mak Industries is our small part of the world. It’s mostly just a lot of metalwork and making things that other people need for their factories. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. By noon it’s usually pretty loud in here. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is closest to it picks it up. We’ve been doing this for a while and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. The floor is covered in scraps sometimes but we clean up at the end of the week. It's a simple way of making a living. We don't use big words or try to act like we are some global giant. We are just a local shop in the industrial estate. Some days are slow and others are a total mess of deadlines. We just take it as it comes. Our neighbors are good people and we help each other out with tools or supplies when someone runs short. You can find us easily enough if you look for the sign at Plot 171. We keep our heads down and stay busy with the machines. It’s just honest, hard work and that’s plenty for us. There is always a lot of clanging and banging going on, but you get used to it after the first few weeks on the job.
