Cilko Stamps

Cilko Stamps is located at Plot No. 177 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. If you walk inside, you’ll probably notice the smell of ink and rubber right away. We make stamps of all kinds, and it’s a lot more hands-on than people think. We’ve got the molding machines and the cutting tables all set up in the main room. It’s not a large operation, but we stay busy enough with the orders coming in. The Gidc estate is a good place for us because everything we need is close by. We spend our mornings going through orders and making sure the text is spelled right before we start the press. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to redo a whole batch, which is a pain, but we don't send out things that aren't right. The workbench is always a mess of handles and pads. We’ve been at Plot 177 for a good while, and the walls are covered in old calendars and notes. It’s a bit cramped when the shipments arrive, but we make it work. Most of the people working here live nearby and walk or ride their bikes in. We don't have a big corporate structure. If something breaks, we fix it ourselves. It’s a simple life making stamps and making sure the ink flows like it should. We aren't doing anything fancy, just keeping the shop running and the customers satisfied with the basics. That is about it.
