Konark Engineers

We have been at Plot No. B-1-918 for a long time now. It’s right here in the Gidc Ind. Estate, which is usually a pretty busy place. It’s an engineering workshop, mostly. We have some older machines and a few guys who really know how to use them. It gets pretty loud during the day because of all the metalwork, but that's just how a shop is. We mostly make parts for other local businesses around here. Sometimes people from the neighborhood come by looking for specific fixes for their tools, and if we have the time, we take a look at it for them. It’s definitely not a fancy office. There’s usually some grease on the floors and tools scattered all over the workbenches. We’ve seen the estate change quite a bit over the years. New neighbors move in, others close up and leave. We just stay here doing our thing every day. It's hard work, especially when it’s hot outside and those old fans don't do much more than move the warm air around. But we like the routine of it. Most of the staff has been here since the start, so we know how each other works. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are. If you walk past B-1-918, you'll see our sign. It’s a bit faded from the sun now. We keep the machines running and try to get our jobs finished on time.
