Jay Jalaram Engineers

Jay Jalaram Engineers is located at Plot No. 191-a-2-2 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. It’s a bit of a mouthful of an address, but it’s where we do all our engineering work. We aren't some massive firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a local shop where we weld, cut, and grind metal into whatever shape is needed. Our floor is always covered in some amount of metal shavings, no matter how much we sweep. We have a few old lathes that have been with us since the beginning and they still run better than some of the newer stuff. We don't have a fancy logo or a big sign out front. Most of our work comes from word of mouth around the estate. When someone has a broken part or needs a custom frame, they usually wander over here. We spend our mornings drinking tea and looking over the drawings before we start the machines. It can get pretty loud when everyone is working at once, but that’s the sound of things getting built. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to scrap a piece, but we just try again until it’s right. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to make sure the parts we make actually work for the people who buy them. It’s a basic shop for basic engineering needs. We usually close up early on Saturdays to give everyone a bit of a break.
