Jai Ambe Engineering Works

We are located at 898-2-a in the GIDC Industrial Estate. Jai Ambe Engineering Works is basically a big machine shop. We have been here for quite some time now, and the place has that look of a workshop that’s seen a lot of use. There’s grease on the tools and the floor always has a bit of metal shavings on it, no matter how much we sweep. We do a lot of turning, milling, and general repair work for other factories in the estate. It’s loud because of the grinders and the lathes, so you usually have to shout a bit to be heard. We aren't a big corporation with fancy uniforms. Most of us just wear old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. The sun beats down on the corrugated roof in the afternoons, so it gets pretty warm inside. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background to keep things lively. People bring us parts that are broken or need fixing, and we see what we can do. There’s no big philosophy behind it; we just like working with metal and fixing things that aren't working right. The paperwork is the part we like the least, so it usually just sits in a pile on the desk until someone has to deal with it. We’re just a bunch of guys who know how to use a wrench.
