You can find J N Engineers over at Plot No. 185-b in the GIDC Ind. Estate. It’s a solid little spot that’s served us well. The workshop has that specific smell of machine oil and cold steel that stays with you. We have a few lathes and some old milling machines that have seen a lot of use over the years. They aren't the newest models, but they still run fine if you know how to handle them. We spend a lot of our time measuring things and checking tolerances. It’s mostly quiet work until the cutting starts. We don't have a fancy website or a big sales team. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for years. The floor is concrete and has plenty of cracks from heavy parts being dropped over time. We have a small desk for the paperwork, but it’s mostly buried under blueprints and old invoices. The tea man comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take our only breaks. It’s just a handful of us working here. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the parts fit like they should. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s a practical way to make a living. Plot 185-b isn't the biggest place on the estate, but it’s ours and we know every corner of it. We just keep moving forward one job at a time.
