If you come down to the GIDC Industrial Estate and look for Plot No. 490, specifically the 91-4a section, you’ll find us at Hari Engineers. We are an engineering shop through and through. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the sound of metal being worked on—lathes turning, drills going, and the general clatter of tools. It’s a busy atmosphere and it gets pretty loud, but that’s how we know we are getting things done. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of machinery packed in, but we know where everything is. It’s not the cleanest place in the world; there’s always a bit of grease on the floor and metal shavings in the corners. We don’t have a lot of time for polishing the floors when there is work waiting to be finished. Most of us here have been doing this for years, so we don't need much instruction. We just look at the drawings and get to it. Sometimes we stay late when a job is urgent, and we’ve seen many sunsets from the open shutters of the workshop. We don't use big words to describe our engineering. We just fix things or make parts that people need for their own machines. It’s a practical life, and we take pride in the fact that we can handle the heavy stuff that others might find difficult. It’s just what we do here at Plot 490 every single day.
