We share a similar address line at Plot No. 898-6-b within the Gidc Ind. Estate, which sometimes confuses the mailman. Hardik Engineers is a small operation, but we stay busy enough. The floor is usually covered in a thin layer of metal shavings, and the sound of the grinders is pretty much the soundtrack to our day. We don’t bother with fancy uniforms; most of us just wear old shirts that can handle a bit of oil. The work we do is pretty practical. We take in pieces that need fixing or fabricate new parts from scratch based on whatever drawings we’re handed. It’s not a quiet environment, and it definitely isn't a clean one, but it's where we feel most comfortable. We’ve got a small desk in the corner for the paperwork, though that usually gets buried under tools and spare bolts. Our routine is pretty much the same every day. We open up early, get the machines warmed up, and work through the list. We don’t have a website with a bunch of promises. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been at this plot for a while and people know we’re reliable for a day’s work. If the gate is open, we’re inside working on something. It’s a simple life, focused on the machines and the metal. We like the independence of running our own shop in the middle of the industrial estate.
