Gayatri Engineering Works

You can find Gayatri Engineering Works at Plot No. 238-1 within the Gidc Ind. Estate. We are right next to some of the other engineering shops, which makes the whole area quite loud during the day. Our space is just a single plot where we’ve set up our machines and workbenches. It’s been our home for a long time. The roof leaks a little when it rains really hard, but we’ve learned where to put the buckets. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do the work that comes through the door. Most of our tools are old but they still work just fine if you know how to handle them. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. Usually, someone just drops by with a part that needs fixing or a sketch of something they want us to make. We talk it over and then we get to it. Sometimes we stay late to finish a project if someone is in a real hurry. It’s just me and a couple of others here most days. We don’t use fancy language or try to impress anyone with big talk. We just focus on the metal and the machines. It’s a steady kind of life, and we like being part of the Gidc community. If the door is open, we’re usually inside working on something for a neighbor and listening to the radio.
