At Filsep Equipments Pvt. Ltd., we spend our days at Plot No. 862-3-a in the GIDC Ind. Estate. The building is a standard industrial shed where we assemble various types of equipment. Inside, there is usually a lot of welding going on, so the air often has that sharp scent and you see the blue flashes from the masks. We have a few workbenches spread out where the guys put things together piece by piece. It isn't a high-speed assembly line; it’s more about taking the time to make sure each unit is bolted together the right way. We have a small mezzanine area for some storage and a tiny office space downstairs for the phone and the computer. The floor is often covered in metal shavings, and we have to sweep it out every evening before we lock up. The GIDC area here is always humming with activity, and we are just one small part of that. We don't have a website that looks like a tech company’s, and we don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just build equipment that people need for their own factories. If there is a problem with a machine, we just pull it back apart and fix it. It is a practical life, and we are fine with that.
