Crescent Engineering Work

Our workshop is at Plot No. 197-b, right in the middle of the Gidc Ind. Estate. We share the area with a lot of other shops, so there’s always noise and people moving about. We handle engineering tasks, mostly stuff that requires a bit of patience and a steady hand. The lights in the back are a bit dim, but we have lamps over the machines where it matters. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to make sure the work we do today is as good as what we did yesterday. Sometimes the metal we get is a bit stubborn, or a drill bit breaks when you least expect it. That’s just the way it goes in this line of work. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for machines to finish their cycles. It’s a lot of standing on concrete floors, which can be hard on the legs after a few hours of work. We’ve got a small office space carved out of the corner with a couple of chairs for visitors, but mostly we are out on the floor. It’s a practical way of living. We take the jobs as they come, whether they are small repairs or bigger fabrication tasks. We’ve been at 197-b long enough that the walls are covered in marks and notes from years of different projects. When the power goes out, we just take a break and sit by the door.
