Chamunda Engineers

Chamunda Engineers is tucked away at Plot No. 366 A 8 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. If you come by, you’ll probably hear the lathes and the drilling machines before you even see the sign. The place is filled with the smell of cutting oil and the sound of metal being worked on. We’ve got benches covered in tools, and there are always metal shavings on the floor that we have to sweep up at the end of every shift. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice shirt. We do a lot of custom engineering work, so every day is a bit different depending on what people bring in for us to fix or make. Sometimes it’s a small part for a machine, and other times it’s something much bigger that takes up half the workshop. We don't really do much in the way of marketing or fancy brochures. People mostly just know us because we’ve been here at this plot for a while. The roof leaks a little when it rains really hard, so we have to move the machines around to keep them dry. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes to keep everything running on time, but we just do our best with the tools we have. It’s a solid, gritty engineering shop where we focus on the task in front of us and get it finished.
