Bharat Engineers

You can find us over at 290/2 in the Gidc area. It’s a standard industrial block where we do our engineering work every day. The shop stays open from early morning, and usually, there is a lot of grinding noise coming from the back. We have a small crew and most of us have lived around here for a long time. It isn't the cleanest place because of all the metal shavings and the oil, but we keep the tools where they belong. Bharat Engineers is just the name on the small board outside. We don't do much advertising or anything because people in the Gidc usually just find us when they have a breakdown or need a specific part fabricated. The workspace is a bit cramped when we have a big project going on, but we manage to move things around. Sometimes the truck deliveries block the entrance for a few minutes while we unload materials. We use simple machines and our hands to get the job done. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. The roof gets a bit loud when it rains, making it hard to hear the phone, so we usually just talk face to face with anyone who drops by. We are not trying to be a giant corporation; we just want to finish the task at hand and move on to the next one. That’s the way it has always been at this unit.
