Our workshop is situated at Plot No. A1-513 in the Gidc Estate. It's a standard industrial plot and there is nothing fancy about it. We’ve got our lathes and milling machines set up inside the main area. It’s usually pretty loud when everything is running at the same time. We do a lot of subcontracting work for bigger firms around the estate. They send us drawings and we try to make the parts as close as we can. It's precise work but the environment is definitely industrial and rugged. There’s oil on the floor and scraps of metal in the bins by the machines. We wear our old clothes because they’re just going to get ruined by the grease anyway. Gidc is a massive place and it’s easy to get lost if you don’t know the plot numbers. We’ve been in this specific spot for a few years now. The staff is just a handful of guys who really know how to handle the equipment. We don't have a big HR department or anything like that. If there’s a problem we just talk it out over lunch. We try to keep our overhead low so we can stay in business. We keep the machines oiled and ready. It’s a lot of maintenance but it pays off when a big order finally comes in.
