We are based at Plot No. 486-b-1 in the Gidc Industrial Estate. If you know the estate, you know it’s a total maze of different businesses and small factories. Our part is focused on electronics, so it’s a bit different from the heavy casting shops nearby. We have long benches where the team sits with soldering irons and magnifying glasses. There are bins full of tiny resistors, capacitors, and wires in every color imaginable. It’s quiet work, requiring a lot of steady hands and patience. Sometimes the smell of molten solder is quite strong, but we’re all used to it by now. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People find us because we’ve been here for years and they know we can fix or build what they need. The office part is just a couple of filing cabinets and a computer that’s seen better days. We spend a lot of time testing circuits to make sure everything works like it should before it leaves the door. The Gidc can be a bit chaotic with the traffic and the dust, but inside our walls, we try to keep things as orderly as possible. We have a small tea break every afternoon, which is when we actually catch up on things. It’s just a small group of us trying to make good components day after day. We don't make a big deal out of it; we just get the work done.
