About Ambika Electronics – Electronics in Vadodara
I’ve been working out of this shop in Nizampura for quite a few years now. We are in Swaminarayan Nagar, specifically at C142. It’s a residential area mostly, so we see the same faces every week. People bring in all sorts of things, from old televisions to radios that haven't worked in a decade. The workbench is always a mess with wires and soldering irons, but I know where everything is. My wife sometimes tells me I should clean it up, but then I wouldn't be able to find my favorite screwdriver. We don't have a big neon sign or anything like that. Just a small board outside. The neighborhood is quiet during the day, which is nice when you’re trying to fix a delicate circuit board. Sometimes a neighbor will drop by just to chat even if they don't have anything broken. I keep a small fridge in the back for cold water, which is a lifesaver in the summer months. It’s just me and one helper usually. We take things as they come. If a repair is too big, we just say so. No point in making promises we can't keep. It's a steady way to spend the day, working with my hands and seeing things start working again. You get a good feeling when an old machine hums back to life after you've spent hours on it. I usually lock up around seven and head home to get some dinner.
