Shivam Engineers

Shivam Engineers is tucked away in the GIDC Estate over in Makarpura. We are at number 254/B, right by the Industrial Linings Baroda Private Limited building. This whole area is industrial, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks moving around. Our workshop is a functional space. It isn't meant to look pretty; it's meant for working. We have been operating out of this spot in the estate for quite a long time. The floors are usually a bit oily and there is metal scrap in the bins, which is normal for an engineering place. We spend our hours cutting, welding, and fitting parts together. The heat in the shed can get quite intense during the summer months, but we have some fans to keep the air moving. Most of our work comes from other businesses in the GIDC who need specific parts or repairs. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. People just know we are here and they drop by when they have a problem that needs a mechanical fix. We keep a lot of our tools on the walls so we can grab them quickly. It is a no-nonsense kind of place. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot and keep going until the day’s tasks are finished. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders that come in.
