Mahavir Engineers

We’ve been over here at Samiala in the Vijay Industrial Estate for quite a while now. Most days it’s just the sound of machines and the smell of metal around Padra Road. It isn’t fancy at Mahavir Engineers. We spend our time looking at blueprints and making sure the parts are cut right. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty, but that’s just how it is when you’re working with iron and steel every day. People come by when they need something fixed or a specific piece made for their own projects. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. Just the workshop floor and our tools. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer, but we keep the fans going and stay on top of the work. If you walk past the estate, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. We grew up around these machines and know how they sound when they’re running smooth or when something is off. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing on your feet for hours. We keep our own records and handle the orders as they come in. There is always some scrap metal in the corner waiting to be moved. It’s simple work, really. We just show up, do the job, and go home. That’s been the routine here for a long time.
