Mahashakti Engineering

Out at Plot No. 156/9 in the Narayan Industrial Estate, things stay pretty loud. We are Mahashakti Engineering, and our shop is right across from the Deep Multiplex at Chhani Jakat Naka. It’s a funny contrast, having a movie theater so close to a place where we are cutting metal and welding all day. The estate is always full of tempos and trucks loading and unloading stuff. Our gate is usually open to let in whatever breeze we can get. Inside, the floor is concrete and scarred from years of moving heavy equipment around. We have a small office tucked in the corner with a glass window so we can see what’s happening on the floor. It’s mostly just a group of us who have been doing this for years. We know the machines better than we know our own cars. The Chhani Jakat Naka area is always busy, especially in the evenings when the movie crowds show up. We usually pack up before the late shows start. There are stacks of raw materials piled up near the entrance and a few old chairs for when someone needs a break. It’s not a fancy corporate office, just a workspace where the job gets done. We handle various engineering bits and pieces that the local industry needs. It’s a lot of grease, noise, and hard work, which is exactly how we like it. The work doesn't stop just because the neighborhood is getting more crowded.
