M S Spring & Engineering Works

You can find our shop at Wadi Wadi Tower, right across from the DCB office. It is a busy little corner of the world. We focus on springs and various engineering parts. It is a lot of winding wire and testing tension. If you walk inside, you will see coils of metal everywhere. Some are tiny enough for a pen and others are big enough for heavy machinery. We have a couple of machines that do the winding, but a lot of the finishing is done by hand. It takes a steady eye to get the hooks right. The tower building is easy to spot, so people usually find us without any trouble. We have a small counter where we talk to the customers who come in with a broken spring they need a match for. It is dirty work, and our hands are usually black by midday from the metal and the oil. We do not have any fancy brochures. We just show people what we have made and they can see for themselves if it works. It gets pretty loud when all the machines are running at once, so we have to shout a bit to be heard. We keep at it from morning until the shutters go down in the evening. It is just what we do to keep the shop running and the customers coming back when they need specific parts for their machines.
