Kikabhai Amiruddin

If you walk down to Vadodara Kumbarpet Cross, you’ll find us at Kikabhai Amiruddin. We are located right in the Medarpet area which is usually quite a hectic part of town. The building is old and has that specific smell of metal and age that you only find in these parts of the city. We have been operating from here for quite a while now. My day usually starts with dragging the heavy shutters up and checking what orders need to be sorted. It’s not a polished place with air conditioning or soft carpets. It is more about piles of goods and a lot of paperwork on an old wooden desk. We get a lot of people coming through the cross street asking for things we might have tucked away in the back. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to find exactly what is needed because we have so much stuff crammed into the space. The Medarpet area is always loud with carts and people moving around. We just stay focused on what we are doing. We don't really go in for fancy talk or trying to impress anyone. We just provide the items people come here for and try to keep things moving. It is a simple operation and we like it that way. The walls could use a bit of paint but the business keeps us too busy to worry about that.
