Karm Engineerings

Our workshop is located at 879/4 Vadsar on the Makarpura Main Road. It is a pretty industrial area, so there is always a lot of dust and the sound of heavy trucks going by outside. Inside, it is mostly metal and machinery. We spend the day cutting, welding, and measuring things for different projects. It is a loud place to work. You cannot really hear yourself talk very well when the machines are running. We do not have a fancy office upstairs. There is just a small corner with a desk where we keep the drawings and some notes on scrap paper. Most of our time is spent on the shop floor. We wear heavy boots and our clothes usually have a few holes from sparks or snags on the metal. It is hard work but it is what we do. The Makarpura road is always busy, which keeps things interesting during the day. We have got stacks of raw material in one corner and finished parts in another. It is not very organized to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is located. We do not spend much time on how the place looks. The floor is rough concrete and the rafters are exposed. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure everything fits together. It is a practical life, working with our hands and making things that last for a long time.
