Kaps Engineers

Running a shop like Kaps Engineers in the middle of Makarpura means you get used to the sounds of the G.I.D.C. early in the morning. We are located on Road No. 62, and if you’ve ever driven through here, you know it’s a maze of workshops and factories. It’s a practical place. We don’t have air conditioning in the main area because the machines generate too much heat anyway. My desk is usually covered in papers and some small metal parts that I need to look at later. We’ve been at this spot for years, and the neighbors are all doing similar work. We help each other out when someone runs out of a specific tool or needs a hand with a heavy load. The floor is stained with oil in some places, but that’s because we’re actually working here every day. It’s not a showroom. We deal with various engineering tasks, and sometimes the blueprints are a bit confusing, but we figure it out as we go. Lunch is usually a quick tiffin while sitting on a bench near the entrance. The traffic on the main road can be a headache when we’re waiting for a delivery, but we’ve learned to be patient. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just reliable enough that people keep coming back to us at unit 831. It’s just straightforward work, day in and day out, without any fluff. We keep the machines oiled and the work moving, which is all that really matters.
