Kapis Engineers Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of 883/3 in the G.I.D.C. Estate over in Makarpura for quite some time now. We usually start our day pretty early because the estate gets busy fast and if you aren't here by eight, parking becomes a real headache. The workshop floor is where most of us spend our time, surrounded by machines and blueprints. It isn’t a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. Instead, it’s a place where we get our hands dirty and actually build things. Most of the guys here have lived in the area for years, so we all know each other well. Sometimes the machinery gets loud, but we’re used to it. We handle a lot of different engineering tasks, mostly focusing on what our clients in the nearby factories need. It’s honest work. We don't spend much time on the computer unless it’s for some basic billing or looking at a drawing. People just drop by the office when they need something fixed or fabricated. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes parts get stacked up in the corners when a big job comes in. It’s just how an engineering shop in Makarpura works. We keep the doors open, the tea guy comes by twice a day, and we just keep pushing through the orders until it's time to head home.
