Kamal Soni

My name is Kamal Soni. If you are looking for me, I am over at Raopura Laxmi Niwas Chawl. It is located on Gulfadevi Road in Worli Koliwada. This area is usually very busy with people moving around all the time. Living and working in a chawl means you are always close to your neighbors. You hear everything and see everyone. It’s a tight space but it works for what I need to do. I’ve been here in Mumbai for a long time. The salt air from the sea is always there. Sometimes it makes the metal rust a bit faster, but we just deal with it. I don't have a big staff or anything like that. Usually, it's just me handling the day-to-day things that come up. My setup is pretty basic. A table, some chairs, and my tools or papers. It gets loud outside with the traffic and the markets nearby. Worli Koliwada has a lot of history and I’m just one small part of it. I try to stay busy and keep things moving. Most days are about the same, which is fine with me. People walk past Laxmi Niwas Chawl all day long. If you're coming down Gulfadevi Road, you'll see the life of the neighborhood. I don't really know how to write these things. I just wanted to say where I am and what it's like here. It's not a corporate office, just my place. It might be a bit cluttered, but that is how I like it.
