Kalpana Engineering & Trading Company

Our shop, Kalpana Engineering & Trading Company, is situated at Pratap Nagar C /2- B. It’s a mix of a workshop and a place where we trade various engineering parts. We have been at this address for a long time now. The space is filled with different components, tools, and some machinery we use for small engineering tasks. It’s not the cleanest place in the world because there is always some oil or metal shavings around. We do our best to keep it organized, but when you are busy, things tend to pile up on the benches. We deal with a lot of local businesses and mechanics who need specific parts. Sometimes we have to dig through the back to find an old piece of stock someone is looking for. We don't have a website or any of that modern stuff. We just talk to people when they come in or over the phone. Pratap Nagar is a good neighborhood for us. It feels like home after all these years. We just show up, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. Some days are slow and we spend time cleaning the tools, and other days we don't even have time for a tea break. It’s just how it is running a small engineering place. We keep at it every day and try to stay organized. It is usually just one or two of us here.
