Our office for Jay Manek Estate Agency is located at number 5 in the Akota Industrial Area, Phase II. It’s a very practical part of town, mostly full of workshops and small factories. It’s not the kind of place you’d go for a nice walk, but it works perfectly for the kind of work we do. Being in an industrial area means there’s always the sound of machinery or trucks loading things up somewhere nearby. Our office is a simple room with a few desks and some old filing cabinets that have definitely seen better days. The walls are painted a neutral color that’s started to fade a bit near the window where the sun hits it. We spend most of our time here looking at papers or talking on the phone. It’s a bit of a drive from the main residential parts of Akota, but we like being where the action is. The air can be a bit heavy with the smell of exhaust from the neighboring units. We have a small ceiling fan that wobbles a little when it's on high, but it keeps us cool enough through the summer months. People usually call us before they come over because we might be out at a site or something. When we are here, it’s just quiet work. We don’t have any fancy carpets or expensive art on the walls. It’s just a workspace, plain and simple for us.
