Doshi Associates

Doshi Associates is situated at Plot No. 976 6 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. It’s a bit of a walk from the main gate, but it's a good spot. We’ve been here since the early nineties, I think. Back then, there were fewer buildings around. Now, it’s all packed in. We have a small office and a bit of storage space in the back. It’s mostly paper files and samples of the stuff we handle. We don’t have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. If you want to know what we do, you usually just come by and have a seat. We’ll offer you a glass of water and talk about what you need. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things. My uncle started this, and I just took over when he retired. We have a couple of assistants who help with the billing and the deliveries. The phone rings a lot, mostly old clients who have been with us forever. We don't really try to get new business; we just focus on the people we already know. The air conditioner in the office makes a bit of a rattling noise, but it keeps the heat away. We keep our schedules on a big paper calendar on the wall. It’s not high-tech, but it works for us. We just keep the wheels turning day by day at Plot 976 6 and make sure the bills are paid.
