You can find Jay Jalaram Engineers at 5 Pratap Nagar, right on the Nirnaynagar Road. We are a small engineering shop where we handle different kinds of metal work and basic repairs. The road outside is usually packed with people going to and from work. We have a few lathes and some old drills that have been in this shop for many years. They might look a bit worn out, but they still work perfectly fine for what we need. We don't have a big team of workers. It is just a couple of us who know how to use the equipment. We don't use any computers or software to track our jobs. We mostly just write everything down in a large paper ledger on the desk. The shop always has that distinct smell of machine oil and metal shavings. It is a smell we have grown to like over time. We don't have any decorations on the walls or any awards on display. There are just some wooden shelves filled with tools and finished parts that are waiting for people to come and get them. Sometimes a person will walk in with a broken metal part and ask if we can make a copy of it. We take our measurements, look at the metal, and see what we can do. It is practical work and we don't try to make it more complicated than it is. Nirnaynagar Road is a good location for us. We just keep working through the day.
