Janata Engineering Works

Janata Engineering Works has its home at number 16 on R.C. Dutt Road. It’s an old building, and you can tell by the way the floors creak a little when you walk across them. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the noise from the road anymore. It’s a busy stretch of pavement outside, but inside we just focus on the metalwork. The shop is full of the smell of iron and the sound of hammers. We don't have a website or anything like that. People know us because we’ve been on R.C. Dutt Road for years. Our tools are mostly manual, and we like it that way because you can feel what you’re doing. The walls are stained with years of work, and there are old calendars hanging up that we never bothered to take down. It’s a place where we get our hands dirty every single day. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or comfortable chairs for the waiting area. If you come here, you’re usually looking for something specific to be built or repaired. We take the orders, we do the work, and that’s it. It is a straightforward way to run a business. Janata Engineering Works is just a part of the landscape here now. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to do a good job for the folks who stop by our door. It’s basic, solid work that keeps the lights on.
