Jainam Art

Raopura is a crowded place, and that’s where Jainam Art is. We’re right in the thick of it. The streets are narrow, and there are people everywhere, but that’s what makes it feel alive. Our shop is filled with all sorts of things we’ve made or collected. It smells like wood and paint most of the time. We don’t have a fancy layout; things are just piled where they fit. We’ve been in Raopura for years, and we’ve seen the shops around us change owners many times. We stay because we like the history of the area. We spend our days working with our hands. It’s not a clean job; we usually have smudges on our clothes by lunch. We don’t use machines for everything. A lot of it is just sitting at a small bench and focusing. Customers come in and wander around, looking at the shelves. We don't follow them or try to sell them stuff. We just let them look. If they have a question, we answer it simply. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool and watch the motorcycles go by. It’s a lot of work to keep a small business going here, but we don’t mind the struggle. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles. We’re just people who like making things. Raopura is our home, and Jainam Art is just our little corner of it. It’s nothing special, just us doing our thing.
