Ice Cream On The Rock

If you go down to Alkapuri, we are at number 41. It’s a pretty straightforward place. We call it Ice Cream On The Rock. We spend most of our time dealing with the freezers and making sure everything stays cold. Alkapuri gets quite busy in the evenings, so that is when we see most people. During the day it is a bit slower, which gives us time to clean the floors and check the stock. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just put the sign out and wait for people to come in. The machines make a bit of noise, but you stop noticing it after a while. It’s just a regular local shop where people can get something cold when it’s hot outside. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to worry about the stock, but mostly things go fine. We have a few chairs for people to sit, but they are nothing special. Just basic plastic ones. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy tubs and keeping things organized. We aren't trying to change the world or anything. We just want to run the shop and make sure the customers get what they asked for. That is how we’ve always done things here at Alkapuri 41. It is just a simple business without any big corporate rules or polished speeches. We hope people like what they get.
