Hemlata D Pandit

My place is at number 1 in Baranpura, inside the Rajashree CHS which is part of Rachna Society. We are right opposite Shahid Chawk, so there's always a landmark to tell people. My name is Hemlata D Pandit and I've been working from this location for a good while. The society is usually pretty quiet, though the Chawk can get busy during festivals or public events. We occupy a small space on the ground floor. It’s convenient for people who don't want to climb stairs. I started this because I wanted to be close to home and serve the local community. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just walking past the sign outside. Inside, it's pretty cozy. I keep a few plants by the window to brighten things up. The furniture is a bit old, but it’s comfortable enough for a full day of work. We handle a variety of requests throughout the week. Sometimes it’s slow, and I have time to drink my tea and read the paper, but other days it’s a constant stream of people. I like the pace here in Baranpura. It feels like a real community where everyone knows each other’s business. If you’re coming over, just look for the Rachna Society gates across from the memorial at the Chawk.
