Laxmi Engineering Works

We are over at Plot No. 242/15, mostly just doing our day-to-day engineering work. Laxmi Engineering Works isn’t a huge place, just a standard workshop where we keep the machines running and try to stay on top of the orders. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, and that’s just how it goes when you’re working with your hands all day. We start pretty early when the air is still a bit cool, before the sun really hits the roof of the shed. By noon, it gets quite warm inside, and the fans don’t do much more than move the hot air around. We have a small corner for the desk where the paperwork piles up, though we’d much rather be out by the lathes. People sometimes have trouble finding the plot because the numbers are a bit scattered around here, but we’ve been in this spot long enough that most of the local drivers know where to go. There is a tea stall just down the road that we visit twice a day. It’s a simple setup we have. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. Most of the time, the noise from the grinders is so loud you can’t hear the phone ringing anyway. We just keep our heads down and get the parts finished. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday through Saturday. There is always something that needs fixing or a machine that needs oiling.
