Devam Welding Technologies

Being out in the Padra GIDC Electronic Zone means we are surrounded by industry. We are located in Sector 25 in Gandhi Nagar, Ahmedabad. The area is huge and it can feel a bit empty if you’re walking around, but inside the units, everyone is busy. Our place is full of equipment and the smell of metal. We deal with welding stuff all day long. It’s not the cleanest environment, but it’s where we feel at home. The floor is concrete and there are cables running along the walls to handle the power we need. We don't have many visitors, mostly just delivery guys or people picking up their orders. The sun gets really intense out here, so the ceiling fans are always on full blast. We have a small corner with a table where we eat our lunch. Most of the time, the conversation is just about the work or what’s happening in the GIDC. It’s a long commute for some of us, but we’ve gotten used to the route. We don't bother with fancy branding or marketing. We just make sure the machines are running and the welds are holding. Sometimes we have to stay over the weekend if a big order comes in. It’s a practical, hardworking place with no room for anything that isn't necessary for the job. There's a stray cat that hangs around the back door, and we usually give it some milk or leftovers.
